fun time, a little disoriented

we went out to a friend’s house in new jersey on saturday. they had thrown together a game day. we had gone out once before for the same sort of event, which was highly planned and executed with great aplomb, however since then our firends have had a baby. the baby is a beautiful seven month old girl. when we got there on saturday the change was evident.
we ate chips from the bottom of th e bag, or helped ourselves to the fridge. we were basically at home- which we were perfectly happy about. ej enjoyed running about, up the stairs, down the stairs and throwing all the baby’s books and stuffed animals around.
we played as many games as we could and ended up being there quite late at night, so we all just stayed over which led to a little confusion on ej’s part as she woke up in the middle of the night and found herself in a strange place.
we did get to walk about the neighborhood in the morning and ej and i saw a robin so, i will declare it to be spring here in the northeast.
