from my journal

ej is counting money in my lap which promises to make my entry here a touch more difficult, especially as she is being more and more forceful about her space and needing to take it. i am certain that the unstructed nature of her daycare breeds this behavior and i am only mortified in it because it was pointed out by a bright young girl at the new church, or either that girl was a bit of snitch as well. arrgghh, i do not want to think badly about anybody least of all a three year old. certainly, there are greater things for me to devote my brainpower to, such as this new java course, and gettting java set up on my computer to run the examples from the book. i hate to have to debug all the example programs when its something on my machine that isnot set up correctly. going to hve to continue to investigate this matter more throughly. on another note, i am becoming more and more satisfied with my layout for the desktop, less and less stuff is being pushed out onto it, i have removed the sidebars and implimented the tasty menu program, which is very nice, i like it quite a bit especially as it has desktop search built into its functions. now i also have the contacts in my panel as well as the contacts for kopete. i let the addressbook have connections behind the view, and normally do not run that open. i have stopped using kontact as a whole, and am only using the bits that i actually use akregator, kmail and korganizer. now if i could only get korganizer in my system tray then it’d all be golden. i am striving to have very little on my desktop that is not actually part of my work, and am quite happy to let these other apps run in the system tray as daemons. and actually, it would be very cool if korganizer could be set up as part of the system clock that sits on my panel, so that when my mouse hovers over the clock, it pops up and i can look at the events on my calendar and my todos and my journal ( which i still want to be able to click a button and publish directly to one of my blogs) anyways enough of that from me.
