big two days

yesterday morning, ej and i picked up our suitcase and called a limo to take us to the airport. we checked into our flight quite easily and passed through security without any problems, they allowed her to bring 3 oz of milk in her sippycup, then we waited a few minutes and boarded our first plane which took us to Dulles airport. there we waited two hours for our connecting flight to arrive and finally it showed up from buffalo- where all that springlike snow storm was happening- and we got underway. well, sort of, there was a traffic jam and we waited for half an hour on the runway before we took off.
once we arrived in columbia, after a short nap for her and some reading more me, we were met by GrandDad but not our suitcase. hmmm…. airline promised to deliver it that night but they did not get it to us until nearly lunch today. after we changed clothes finally, we went over to MeeMaw and PapPap’s house for lunch. ej chased the dog around- in fact that is getting to be a theme so far, as there are lots of dogs available for her to chase- and then it became clear that it was nap time. ej had one too.
ej likes to be able to walk around in the yard and kick leaves and it certainly is a relief to be able to just step outside and not have to bundle or hover, i can watch her make her way about pretty loosely as long as i am mindful of the pool, which we started to clean up today. well, started is not really the word- we did some cleaning of it, how’s that?
