a few days ago in a rather longish post, Jucato discussed how he was moving towards coloring the theme of his desktop to be light colors on black, because it is more sci-fi, easier on the eyes, etc. etc. etc. I understand that, and know that what he really wants to do is rock the LCARS theme like i am doing.
this is not the first time i have experimented with light on dark colors for kde and have been greatly satisfied with one major exception. when i do this, standard web pages which do not have a background color specified within their HTML are highly unreadable as Konqueror uses the system colors to display the background. I can use an alternate CSS sheet or an Accessibility stylesheet in order to read these pages, but then i miss out on the wonders of another person’s creativity. it does give me an idea of what it must be like to surf the web under the restrictions of accessibility concerns.
i’d like to be able to make konqueror’s web behavior read webpages with a white background despite the system settings, but that is just me.
