…but I’ll write it anyways.

I have enabled the Disqus commenting system on this blog. This allows for a single sign on for comments across the blogosphere whether you wish to use a disqus account or your Facebook account. It even pulls any comments which originate on Friendfeed back to the original posting to maintain any comments in place. I am happy to use this commenting system as it gives me some good tools as well as providing some level of convience to others, however I have noticed some things which I do not enjoy happening.

There are people who have been leaving comments that have enabled their disqus account to be something rather commercial, like Phoenix Limo Driver or Hotels in Hong Kong, or something else non-human personlike. Generally this account name links to a website which is commercial advertising in nature and therefore not in line with the intentions or objectives of this blog. It is this reason that I have put in a basic guideline in my moderation of comments.  Here is my one guideline:

If I do not think that your user name is also a person’s name or alias but rather a commercial- i will delete your comment and the link and mark you as spam within the Disqus ecosystem.

This is not to be considered a threat or me being a tough guy, it’s just making certain that friends and family who visit this blog do not have to concern themselves with wading through the blatant advertising that people have been trying to slide into my space, which is not to be confused with MySpace.

Anyways, that’s enough of my ranting for the day, hope all you peoples out there are doing well!
