Oma came to visit

with her new puppies, Gracie and Emily. We all drove out along Cape Cod to make the most of the first beautiful weather of the season.
We stopped near Hyannis, where the beach was still mighty chilly. We had an early lunch. Daughter wailed about getting some Russian dolls, then fell asleep until we arrived at Provincetown. We walked along the beach, dreamed of living in one of the romantically ramshackle houses, walked through town, had ice cream, and set off back home. We stopped at Nautica Light Beach where Daughter got some lessons in flips and cartwheels from some big girls, and we collected stones.
We drove home to have some fantastic pizza from our local pizzeria. What a wonderful day. It’s nice to be a New Englander.[photo — not archived by Wayback]
