disgruntled by new stories
daily reminders of disasters
depressing and dour tales
of doom, gloom looming
over every horizon
a sword dangling upon our heads
waiting, always waiting
ready to wake up dead
what more does this damned
planet how to take from us
before nature evicts
unruly tenants upon her back
