Nothing earned
I been up in Brooklyn already
Y’all what sup, my hand’s unsteady
stand tall, shooken, and heady
disbelief in my mind, ignorance all the time
greenleaf sprout I find, hinderance humankind
sport about, go steady, hands small, orange Freddy
Mexican wall, Russian doll, American maul, Civil war
So why Brooklyn? So why not.
I been down South already
Yo how you doin’? this land forgetting
parts divided, mouths united, and bodies sweating
blood boiling from pointless labor,
slaves toiling, who is my neighbor?
Black white red yellow green and blue
what the fuck we gonna do!?!
So South, why not? Or why?
Why we gonna let our culture die?
Why we gonna lie down and accept passive defeat?
Why we gonna starve our children, nothing to eat?
Corruption and cowardice sounds
Disruption and avarice, nouns
Eruption in cadaverous mounds
Revolutions abound, around the sun
This rhyme scheme is fun
but it’s message is serious
Clearly not mysterious,
this time schemes are undone
populist positions, unraveling bishops
Crooks hooked, cooks look shook, throw the book
Lock em all up and hang em high
Knock em all down and let em fry
My anger and pride are not alone
The danger will ride, our knives we'll hone
Call to action answered
Cause to faction, rise above, substandard
Political motives questioning,
Paralytical motion questing
These jokers ain’t funny, no forgetting
No forgiving
Nothing given
Nothing earned.
